This year’s extravagant Miss Universe pageant will air live on NBC and Telemundo the May 28 2007. This year the pageant is live from beautiful Mexico City, Mexico. Vanessa Minnillo and Mario Lopez will host this year’s pageant, which is produced by Executive Producer Donald J. Trump and The Gurin Company.
Last year’s winner, Puerto Rico native, Zuleyka Rivera, spent her year championing the official causes of MISS UNIVERSE®, which include increasing HIV/AIDS awareness by focusing on women's health and reproductive issues and forging relationships with organizations committed to research and education, including the Latino Commission on AIDS, the Global Health Council, God's Love We Deliver, GMHC (Gay Men's Health Crisis) and amfAR. She will crown her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour primetime telecast. Each contestant from more than 80 countries around the world will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview.

J'ai regardé et c'est Miss Japan qui a gagné. C'était beau de voir sa surprise et sa joie.
Il y a eu un petit malaise quand Miss USA a été retenue dans les 5 finalistes. Le public n'a pas apprécié surtout que Miss Mexico n'a pas été retenue.
L'autre petit malaise c'est quand Miss USA s'est enfargée dans sa robe et a fait une chute. Ça ne l'a pas empêchée d'être retenue pour le Final 5.
À noter aussi que les 10 dernières avaient toutes des cheveux noirs sauf une qui était chauve. Aucune blonde.....
