Canadian Idol fans have double the fun to look forward to Tuesday night, with an MTV Canada special starring former Top 3 finalist Jacob Hoggard and his band Hedley hitting the airwaves an hour before Idol's second Top 22 performance show.
At 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Diary of Hedley will show members of the band in an exposing new light. While it will feature plenty of exclusive footage of the band touring, signing autographs, performing and shooting a music video, it also follows them as they as get naked, explore garbage dumpsters, try on women's clothing and kiss lots of girls.
The show captures the big moments of a band that has seen its stature steadily move upwards since Hoggard finished his run on Canadian Idol in 2004. Its producers bill the special as "untraditional and uncut," saying it will put a new spin on fans' perceptions of the lives of Hoggard, Dave Rosin (guitar), Tom MacDonald (bass) and Chris Crippin (drums).
"Hedley Sucks Day" on MTV will also feature interviews and performances from the band on MTV Live. The interactive format of the show, which features a live audience, will allow fans to interact with the band in person or by phone, e-mail, webcam or instant messenger.
Their visit to MTV's Toronto studios comes during a quick break from their current United States tour with fellow pop punksters Yellowcard.
Following the special's broadcast, it will be available on MTV Overdrive (www.mtv.ca), which will also host additional Hedley content, including out-takes, in-depth interviews, and extra exclusive footage. The band's most recent videos can be viewed on the site at any time. --Message edité par Star*Man le 2006-06-27 16:30:08--
