P'tit commentaires rapides sur le show de ce soir.

Chris: Perfo OK... mais rien d'extraordinaire selon-moi. Cette toune a été chanter un million de fois, et il n'a rien fait qui sortait en dehors des versions précédemment entendu. Il aurait pu faire quelques chose de plus original, tout en gardant le côté smooth et classique. Mais bon, kudo pour être sorti de ce qu'il fait habituellement.  

Paris: Fashionably awful! J'ai décroché depuis longtemps. Je l'aimais beaucoup dans les débuts, mais elle ne m'impressionne plus comme elle le faisait. J'ai aimé la chanson, elle l'a bien rendu, mais elle ne m'a pas conquis.

Taylor: Beaucoup aimé ce soir.

Elliott: Excellent ce soir! Une voix que j'adore. Un gars sympathique. Mais il lui manque quelques chose pour aller chercher les gens. Simon a parlé un manque de personalité... je ne crois pas, mais y'a un manque de quelques chose. Et j'ai été surprise de voir qu'il a 27 ans!!!

Kellie...: Oh. My. Gawd. I'm sorry for YOU!

Ace: Scusez-moi, mais ost* qui m'énerve! Pas mauvais coté technique, mais pour le reste... Yé même pas beau, yé pas intéressant. Yé rien. Zoukie, j'ai pensé à toi par contre! J't'imaginais baver en le regardant!

(J'avais besoin de fesser sur quelqu'un... voilà... c'est fait!)

Katharine: Eul l'aime! C'était solide vocalement. Pas SUPER divertissant, mais sti qu'elle l'a! Ça façon d'être, ça façon de regarder la caméra. Elle est à l'aise et ça parraît!

Donc dans l'ensemble, j'ai bien aimé!

Bonne soirée même si je m'attendais a + mais ..

Et disons qu'elle aurait été parfaite en tout point, si cela n'avait été de la performance atroce de «Kellie» , qui est venue gâchée cette belle ambiance et ainsi jeter la seule ombre à ce tableau magnifique !!!

Je suis désolée pour les fans de «Kellie», mais elle a fait son temps et doit désormais partir avant de se ridiculiser davantage !!!  Sa petite voix «rose bonbon sucé longtemps» "fitte" peut-être très bien avec sa robe et le style "country", mais ne tient pas la route en dehors de ça !!!


À mon avis, elle devrait plutôt se recycler comme actrice, avec son beau minois, sa personalité pétillante, je crois qu'elle a bien plus de chance de performer dans ce milieu et d'avoir plus de succès !!!


J'étais très anxieuse pour «Chris» , car j'avais peur qu'il se plante avec ce style "crooner", qui est bien loin de son essence, mais WOW, comme toujours, il m'a surprise et épatée!!!  C'était "soft", simple et pur !!!  Il était très en contrôle avec sa voix et semblait très à l'aise !!!
   

«Paris», j'adore cette fille, elle m'impressionne chaque fois et s'adapte à tous les styles !!!  Elle a la musique dans le sang, c'est inné en elle et elle est d'une maturité surprenante !!!  Et contrairement à certain, moi, j'ai adoré son "look" !!!  Elle était très en beauté et faisait «Madame», disons que cela allait avec l'époque et le style "crooner", donc dans ce contexte, ça passait très bien, ça faisait "classe" !!!

«Taylor», il était dans son élément, égal à lui-même, mais il m'a un peu étourdi à la fin !!!  Et malgré qu'il a une belle voix, qu'il est très performant et un très bon "entertainer", je ne le vois pas, cependant, comme étant le "American Idol" !!!  Je le verrais davantage très bien à Broadway, dans des comédies musicales !!!

«Elliot» a vraiment choisi une très bonne chanson qui lui convenait à merveille !!!  Ce style "crooner" lui sied très bien et j'ai trouvé que c'est peut-être sa meilleure performance !!!  Et pour la première fois, j'ai trouvé qu'il avait enfin une présence... sur scène, plus de charme !!!  «Simon» a mentionné le mot «personnalité», ce qui n'est pas approprié , il aurait dû plutôt utiliser le terme «présence», ce qu'il lui manque d'habitude, mais pas ce soir,  donc «Simon» était dans le champ !!!


Je trouve que «Ace» s'est bien défendu, malgré tout, et disons que je souhaiterais sincèrement que «Kellie» parte avant ce dernier !!!  Pour ses cheveux, cependant, j'aurais trouvé ça plus beau si, au lieu de faire sa "couette" , il aurait tout simplement lissé ses cheveux lousses par derrière avec le gel !!!  Mais bon, c'est secondaire !!!  ;)

«Katharine», WOWWW !!!  
Cette fille m'a carrément éblouie, ce soir !!!  Elle transperce l'écran et les caméras l'adore  !!!  Sa voix était parfaite et ce syle lui va à merveille !!!  Elle a un contrat de disque qui l'attend déjà, c'est certain, et ce, même si elle ne se retrouve pas la grande gagnante !!!  Pour ma part, j'aimerais bien la voir en finale avec «Chris», c'est mon "top 2" idéal !!!

Chris: Comme les autres, j'ai trouvé ça rafraîchissant de l'entendre chanter quelque chose tout doucement. Il a prouvé qu'il en était capable et c'est bien. J'ai bien aimé sa performance.

Paris: Elle fait penser à Ella Fiztgerald ou Billie Holliday. Elle est dans son élément. Toutefois, j'ai trouvé qu'elle manquait de oumph!, de feu, dans son interprétation. Elle avait l'air plus "dedans" lors de la pratique avec Rod Stewart. Pas grave, elle était bonne.

Taylor: J'adore Taylor. Depuis le début. Sauf que j'ai trouvé qu'il n'avait pas choisi une chanson géniale... comme il le fait souvent. Au début, comme les juges, je trouvais ça ordinaire. Puis, à la fin, quand il s'est mis à se défouler, là j'ai trouvé ça cool. Comme dirait Simon : "Magic!"

Kellie: Dieu sait que n'aime pas Kellie, à cause de sa personnalité qui est tellement "phony" et à cause du fait qu'elle représente en elle seule l'idiocie stéréotype. Ceci dit, généralement, je trouve qu'elle donne des performances acceptables, qu'elle est juste. Mais ce soir? Ouf! Elle n'était pas sûr d'elle, avait de la difficulté avec les paroles, puis avec les notes... et finalement avec le rythme. La semaine passée, je ne comprenais pas que peu de personnes ici avaient entendu Katherine fausser que le diable. Cette semaine, c'est Kellie qui a vraiment massacré la chanson et on dirait encore une fois que nous ne sommes pas plusieurs à s'en être rendu compte... ça m'étonne. Elle même en tout cas l'a remarqué... et s'en est excusé, comme d'habitude. Paula semblait avoir de la misère à trouver quelque chose de positif à dire... Et maudit que Simon est vendu à Kellie. Une performance comme ça, ça ne méritait pas un "not great", ça méritait un "ghastly performance"! Christie, à ce point dans la compétition, on s'attend à ce que tu sois capable de suivre le rythme de la toune, surtout une simple comme ça! Elle a chanté avant la musique hier!!!!     En plus de toutes les fois qu'elle a faussé. Oh c'était douloureux!!

Ace: la voix de Ace me fait grincer des dents. Je n'aime pas comment il chante du nez. Je n'aime pas comment il chante point. Il est très rare que je vais le trouver bon. En fait, quand il ne chante pas du nez et quand il ne fait pas de falsetto, il est endurable mais c'est limite. Et les juges qui lui disent qu'il devrait chanter une chanson complètement en falsetto parce que c'est sa force! Au secours mes oreilles. Ya beau être ben cute là, il a pas le talent pour être dans cette compétition je trouve.

Elliot: il était bon mais c'était rien de transcendant. J'aime bien Elliot mais je ne me rappelais même plus ce qu'il avait chanté... dommage.

Katherine: Cette fille là a le package deal. Elle est super belle, sexy, a un beau timbre de voix et une très grande facilité à chanter. Elle passe des graves aux aigues sans problème. Elle est très bonne, définitivement. À part sa performance monstrueuse de l'autre fois, de façon générale, elle est très bonne. Je ne sais pas pourquoi elle ne m'accroche pas à ce point. Manque de "personnalité", peut-être? De charisme? En photo je le trouve écoeurante, si j'étais un gars je serais complétement en amour. Mais sur scène, je ne sais pas pourquoi je la trouve plus ordinaire... ça se veut pasm échant.

Donc, celle qui mériterait de partir, définitivement, c'est Kellie. Celui qui partira probablement et ce sera aussi justifié c'est Ace. Ceci dit, je ne mettrais pas ma main au feu car ces deux là ont des GROS fan-clubs... plus gros que ceux de ce pauvre Elliot...

Bien heureuse que Katherine semble avoir bien fait (selon ce que vous dites)...j'ai hâte de voir ce soir pour les résultats!
Mais de ce que je j'ai hier *soit de Chris à Paris, il n'y en a pas un qui ne m'a pas fait sourire..j'ai vraiment, mais vraiment aimé ce que j'ai pu voir hier en regardant le show.

Will Kellie's poor performance doom her? Will it all finally catch up with Ace? Is there a "shocker" coming tonight?

The staff writers of Reality TV Calendar once again offer their opinions on who will be going home. You'll see different opinions, but more often than not you'll see a consensus. But if you are a fan of the show you know how difficult it is to predict how the public will vote. Last year we were right more often than wrong. We'll see how we do this year.

Two of the bottom three for this week looks like an easy call to me. Ace Young and Elliott Yamin will be there.

For Ace it is a combination of performance and lack of fan base that will doom him. Elliott is the more talented of the two, but he also lacks a significant fan base and will once again be in the bottom three.

I would be shocked if the large and loyal groups of fans that back Taylor Hicks, Chris Daughtry, or Kellie Pickler do not come through for them again. But I admit it is possible. If there is a shocker this week it will be Kellie Pickler's appearance in the bottom three. But I would be shocked and don't really expect to see it this week.

That leaves Paris Bennett and Katharine McPhee to round out the bottom three. Based on performance, both last night and throughout the competition I think Paris belongs in the bottom three.

But regardless of who is in the bottom three it will be Ace's last appearance. He is going home.

Standout Of The Week - Taylor:
This guy delivers week after week. He seems to have resisted the producer's attempts to change him. They had wanted him to dye his air and tone down his on stage antics. But he brought the Taylor energy and style to his performance and as Simon said, it was "magic."

Who Will Win - Kellie Pickler:
I still look for a final three of Chris, Taylor and Kellie. I make that prediction based on how I see the voting patterns, not on talent. However when I look at potential as an entertainer I give the nod first to Taylor and then to Kellie. Chris doesn't bring as much personality and charisma. I'm looking at a final two between Taylor and Kellie. I hope Taylor wins it. But I think Kellie will have the votes.

Ace has been on borrowed time for the last few weeks, and tonight was his Swan Song. I'm tired of wondering where he'll stick that wailing that he calls a falsetto. The title of his song was "That's All", and I think that's what we'll be saying to Ace, tomorrow. And what was UP with the Guy's And Dolls outfit, and the ponytail? Please let this be the last time we have to see him butcher another song.

I know it's wishful thinking about Kellie, but she really was the worst performer this week. (Yes, she WAS worse than Ace!) She was off-key, and totally off track from the song. And if she understood those lyrics, it surely didn't show in her performance.

Standout Of The Week - Taylor Hicks:
I have heard from the beginning that Katharine is the best female vocalist, but haven't agreed. Tonight she proved it. What an amazing performance. Her glorious, sultry voice was absolutely fantastic. Simon was right - she made the rest of them look like amateurs.

Who Will Win - Taylor Hicks:
Oh, he was wonderful tonight! He swept me away and totally entertained me. Though I have to give kudos to Katharine, Taylor has been consistently talented and has most consistently entertained. I am still confirmed member of the Soul Patrol. I am solidly invested in hoping he will win it all, and save us from the Rocker or the Pickle.

I admit. I wasn't paying attention to much of anything during the show. I taped Taylor's, Elliott's, and Ace's performances to watch them back later (which I did), but other than that, I didn't see anyone's performance. I did pick up on a few things though.

From what I heard, Kellie did badly. I noticed she picked a song where she just stood there and sang. Only people with powerful voices can pull off songs like those, or at least those with exceptional stage presence and Kellie has neither. Her voice is only passable and her "stage presence" is that of a ditzy country gal. She said she butchered the song and I didn't hear any praise from the judges so she should go home.

As for who IS going home, it's between Ace and Elliott. Before I talk about their departures, I'd like to comment on their performances. Elliott was sensational, his usual silky soulful self, and I thought he looked wonderful and exhibited charm. Ace...wow. Ace is one of the best looking guys ever and he looked marvelous. He looked clean and sharp in the suit with his hair pulled back (I thought he cut it at first). His performance was quite charming.

After being in such danger for the past few weeks, I think Ace pulled it out for another week. I mean, the majority of people thought he'd be going home last week, but he didn't and now he changes up his look and turns in a solid "Ace" performance. I think Elliott could get lost in the shuffle. If he is, I am a huge Elliott fan and will support him in whatever!

Standout Of The Week - Elliott Yamin:
I'll give this one to Elliott. I thought he was charming and adorable and soulful. I've always thought he was all those things and have been a big fan. If he survives, I look forward to more performances.

Who Will Win - Chris Daughtry:
My opinion hasn't the changed and the judges gave him glowing comments, even Simon.

This was a tough call this week, as I would place Kelly, Ace and Elliott in the bottom three. I believe that Kelly’s performance was the weakest of the three. I thought she was a bit off-key and perhaps her nerves just got the better of her. Ace’s performance was only marginally better, in my opinion, as I felt his vocals were almost completely overpowered by the band.

However, I feel that Kelly and Ace still have a pretty strong fan base and therefore, Elliott’s performance of “It Had To Be You” may have been an omen. I believe that his competent but charisma-less performance will be Elliott’s ticket home.

Standout Of The Week - Taylor Hicks:
Taylor’s performance of Sam Cooke’s “You Send Me” absolutely sent me through the roof! Taylor needs to release this as a single right now, with “Twistin’ The Night Away” as the flip side (they still do “flip sides” don’t they?). His trademark smooth vocals were complimented superbly by a strong, energetic heartfelt and soulful finish that is vintage Taylor Hicks. The Soul Patrol is in the house!

Who Will Win - Taylor Hicks:
The Soul Man turned into the Magic Man this week and his performance was right on point. Taylor’s joy for performing is contagious and you know he is enjoying every moment of this experience. This guy is the genuine article and there is not a "Hollywood" bone in his body. Taylor continues to be my pick to win it all this season.

think tonight’s bottom three SHOULD be Kellie, Paris and Ace with Kellie going home. Kellie was the only contestant tonight to have a bad performance. She was clearly the worst of the night and was just painful to listen to. I’ve never been a fan of Kellie’s and I think she should have gone weeks ago. She will not only be safe this week though, she won’t even be in the bottom three.
As for Paris and Ace, both actually did really well tonight. They’ve been inconsistent though over the past few weeks and I think they both have some catching up to do. I also still get annoyed with Paris’s style and how she completely changes it week after week just to fit in with theme. I’m still wondering who the real Paris truly is.

I think the bottom three WILL be Ace, Elliott and Paris with Ace going home. As I just said, Ace did really well tonight. I don’t think it matters though. He’s been flirting with elimination for weeks now and I think tonight his number will be up. I personally hope I’m wrong as there are a few others (Paris, Kellie and Taylor) I would like to see go before him. I don’t see that happening though but hey, a girl can dream. As for putting Elliott and Paris in the bottom with him, it’s really a big toss up. Everyone had a good night with the exception of Kellie so as Simon said, it’s going to come down to who America likes personality wise. Sad but true.

Standout Of The Week - Katharine McPhee:
I will obviously be giving standout performance tonight to Kat. Simon was dead on with his assessment of her performance. It really was in another league. I’ve been praying for a Kat victory since day one and even though I’m still unsure if she can even make it to the finale, I just hope America realizes how truly talented she is. We all know however that this competition has very little to do with talent.

Who Will Win - Katharine McPhee:
I know the chances of Kat winning as of right now are very slim. It's going to be very tough for anyone to break into Simon's top three of Taylor, Chris and Kellie. Katharine is still my favorite though so I will be listing her as the winner until she is eliminated (which will hopefully be never).

This is Kellie's worst ever! She has been someone who we forgive for the mediocrity of her voice because she's quite a lovable ditzy personality (at least for some of us). But this week, none of the great vocals, none of the personality. No saving grace for her this week. It was terrible! She really lacks the smarts in choosing the right songs. I guess that dumb blonde character is for real after all. Simon was right -- Elliot Yamin did not exhibit anything memorable this week, despite the expected vocal flawlessness. We know sweet Kellie is safe...so I think it's down to Ace and Elliot. I would want Ace to be voted out instead. Although this was one of Ace's best, I'm just not a fan of boyband nasal-sounding kind of voice. And his grin and stare may be sexy for girls, but I think he overdoes it and it freaks me out.

Standout Of The Week - Taylor Hicks:
The judges said Katherine was the best this week. I'm a fan of Katherine as well, but I thought she was predictable this time. I've seen Katherine do a lot better. Taylor Hicks, on the other hand, is always just a joy to watch and listen to. I particularly liked his raw, sloppy, happy-go-lucky, "just do what I gotta do" way of ending the song.

Who Will Win - Taylor Hicks:
Taylor Hicks sounds very organic. He seems laid-back in every performance, yet pulls it off. It's as if he never practices; it's so natural. And that's why it sounds authentic.

Yeah yeah, I know, Kellie probably is safe because of her fan base, but come on-- of all 7 contestants, hers was the ONLY bad song. Frankly, she sucked! If the competition is really about the singing, she should go home tonight. we'll see.

Except for Kellie, they were all great, but I really liked Elliot's performance. Katherine's was my second pick, followed possibly by Chris

Who Will Win - Chris Daughtry:
It's still his to lose.

My final comments will be on the two standout performances of the night which came from Paris Bennett and Katherine McPhee. Although the judges only acknowledged one of the two singers for standing out in the crowd, both deserved accolades. Paris sang “Foolish Things” like she was channeling Ella Fitzgerald and came across like she had performing for an audience of 35 million people her whole life. Katherine McPhee was greatly complimented by breath-taking close-ups that made her look like a 40s style icon so much that even I felt bewitched by her.

Her song choice, “Someone to Watch Over Me”, was brilliant and even though her delivery wasn’t perfect, something magical happened during the performance that just made my heart swell up like it hasn’t since Jean Louisa Kelly (Whatever happened to her?) sang the same song in the 1995 tear jerker, Mr. Holland’s Opus. McPhee and Bennett are both clawing their way to the top, and if this week is any indicator we can expect nothing but A-game from the two of them from here on.

Chris: j'étais vrmt heureuse de lentendre faire autre chose!!! Il la chanter vraiment tres bien, mais je n,ai pas trouver ca exceptionnel...je sais aps si vous comprenez mais ce n,est aps uen performance d'apres moi qui va rester marquer. Malgrés tout, il chante trop bien!

Paris: Paris est dans son élément!!!!!  C'est une jaz dans l'ame et si le monde ne sapercoit pas que cétais tout simplement parfait coté vocal et bien...en tout cas.. Tout ca pour dire que coté vocal elle est tout simplemen extraordinaire!! Peut etre quelle faisais trop madame...trop statique mais cétais tout de meme une performance magnifique.

Taylor: Il em fait toujours sourire!! tres tres bon!!!!!!!!

Elliot: Moi je l,adore!!!!! Il est toujours juste, il chante comme un dieu!!!!!!! Et il avait une tres belle personnalité je trouve moI!!

Kellie: Ich..les notes...povre chouette. au moin elle s'en est rendu compte

Ace: Moi j,ai aps aimer son look. Pour lui ca la été une bonne performance, mais je en laime pas.

Katharine: J'adore katharine!!! meme si parfois cets notes ne sont pas toujorus justes, cets arriver a quelque reprise, je me laisse envouetr par son charme incroyable. Pis mauzusse quelle est belle!! Une voix de déesse!

En effet. La toune est bonne mais chantée par lui c'était un peu ennuyant.
