Survivor's on-set doctor admits to cocaine use, and distributing drugs to the participants without a license
Adrian Cohen, who cares for contestants on Survivor while they shoot in remote locations, has admitted to "abusing medical cocaine" and obtaining prescrïption drugs through illegal means.
Cohen says that his coke use was "spasmodic and unpredictable," and happened because of the stress involved in the nature of his work.
The Sydney-based Cohen is being investigated by Australian medical authorities for using his patients' names to write prescrïptions for the cocaine. If found guilty, Cohen would lose his license. He is also accused of selling prescrïption drugs that are meant to be used by doctors in emergency situations. In addition, Cohen allegedly also obtained large amounts of wholesale medication, which he distributed on the sets of Mark Burnett reality shows such as Survivor and Eco-Challenge.
"I have admitted that it is inappropriate," Cohen told the press. "We made money from it, [but] I certainly didn't make myself rich by doing it."
