Karmendie, une fan de Theresa a décrit le récent spectacle de Theresa à Red Deer sur le forum de T. http://s4.invisionfree.com/Theresa_Onli ... topic=1075
Citation : Hey Sokie's.
Not sure what you all want to know so I will post a few things and then if you have questions you are more than welcome to ask.
Gary and Laura and Tanya and I all headed to Red Deer yesterday and after we arrived and had supper with Leslie then we headed over to the college.
I phoned Carlie and Em to help relieve some nerves-lol and then we went in to to see the show. Beofre the show I headed to the merchandise table where I met Jerr and took pictures with him and Harold Sokyrka. I tried to take a picture of the stage but then I got in trouble by the flash police-an usher who told me NO cameras. Just before T came out they also had another announcement saying that recordings and still photography was prohibited, so sorry no pictures guys!
The first half of the concert T sang with her band-the band that is recording her CD with her, then there was intermission and in the second half she sang with the red deer college big band.
Here is a list of songs in order:
1. Crusin'
2. Angel eyes
3. Masquerade (A Karen Carpenter song she used to listen to at age 5)
4. Come away with me
5. Corcovado
6. God Bless the child
7. Turn my Back
8. Good Mother
INTERMISSION
9. Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me
10. Girl from Ipanema
11. Orange colored Sky
12. Fever
13. Summertime
14. Makin' Whoopee
15. Fly me to the moon
16. Papermoon
ENCORE: Change the world (which she wasn't prepared for and claimed to be
nervous but she still was great)
She was AMAZING! It was crazy! The way I described it was. . . it was like I was standing at my house at the front door and she was across the street at her front door. That is how close we were it was great.
Theresa was FANTASTIC!
The best part about Theresa besides the whole singing package was the fact that she was the biggest ham EVER!
She had everyone giggling like crazy. The wedgie comment that she made was even too much for her and she couldn't "start the next song because she [had] the giggles." LOL!
Theresa was so relaxed and even more of a natural than I remember from CI. It was just uber impressive.
Then after the concert we had special passes to get into the President's Reception. A place to schmooze with special people and best of all Theresa!
How much do we all love Theresa???
I can't say it enough especially now since I have had the pleasure of meeting her.
WOW-all I can keep saying is wow. Who ever said she gives the best hugs was so right. I was crying, she told me not to cry or else she would cry and then I gave her the present that I got for her and she really seemed to enjoy it. We got pictures taken and it was all so great. She even remembered my name to say bye at the end. It truly was a special night. Everyone that I met was amazing! Harold, Sonia, Jerr, Grandma Jean and our course T!!!!! And the free wine and crackers were an added bonus.
