*-Heed's Official Summary-*

[no idea why I called it a summary..]

Wow! So Nathan Wiley started off with "a couple songs" (also known as 5). He was pretty good. But it was like song after song after song and although he was good I was like WAHH I want T... anyways. Whistle.gif

Then he sang a sixth song. He goes, "I'm gonna get a little help with this one" or something like that. For some weird reason I thought he meant he'd get the audience to join in or something. But then he started singing the song and out comes... >*T*<!!! EEEP she was adorable... [hah... newsflash] she was so awesome and into it... then they all left the stage for like 2 minutes while the band got ready and so on.

Right about then I met Kathy, who was sitting 2 seats to my right. We talked until T came back onstage... super awesome!

Sooo amazing... she was all like HEY OTTAWA... wow what a wonderful audience [of course] and her band was super cool. while she was still talking they started the music... and she was like dancing while she talked, it was so cute. wub.gif First up, was Cruisin! And hey guess what, that was my fave song from Canadian Idol, and she did it sooo unbelievably amazing. Gah...

Then she did Corcovado. Man that was fantabulous times 4927561053, it was so good. She mentioned that the pianist had an actual real piano for the first time, so that was cool. I really loved it a lot. [go figure] She also goes, it's on my album, which comes out on APRIL 26TH if you wanted to get that... [it was so cute, she said that like every opportunity she got]

Then she did Angel Eyes. By now if I was chocolate [hah... right] I'd definitely be melted. Because that song was so eep worthy. She said it's the first song on her album [which comes out APRIL 26TH] and she said it has all these trumpets and stuff and it sounds amazing.

Next up is God Bless the Child. She says this song is really special to her because she sang it at her first audition in front of the celebrity judges so it brings back some good memories. She was like, "who here actually watched the show?" and of course everyone screamed. then she's like "well this is God Bless the Child." It was really powerful.

Then she comments again on how much the audience rules. And she actually says "If I come back, will you come back?" YES WE WILL THERESA! heart.gif She then sings Girl from Eeepinema [eep.. lol] That was crazy good. I thought she couldn't get any better but now I love her infinity times more than ever.

She says something about how there are some songs that you get so in to that you completely forget everything else. She says, "I feel like I wrote this song... I wish I did!" She goes, I know you're all tired of this and you've heard it a gazillion times but I'm gonna sing it anyways. And then she sings Summertime. She's so into it. And she scats too eep! Wow, really good. I love her little dancey things, awwwe. and how she goes, 'YAY!'

Then was intermission. Yay.

Oh yeah, I met Sandra at intermission outside the door! We only talked for a couple minutes but she's also super cool (and her friend too) woot.gif

Then she comes back out. [T, I mean] she's wearing a different shirt and really awesome shoes. She says she's gonna do a few songs without her band. biggrin.gif She sings a song that is 'untitled'. "Well actually, it does jave like a few titles... I just can't decide between..." ... Okay Again! Or Sandy Eyes! It was unbelievable. I love that song so freakin much. Super good biggrin.gif For those who don't know, it's the one she wrote about her friend who died when she was 12. crying.gif She said it's weird, how sometimes you write a song about someone and then you're thinking about someone else when you sing it a week later, or something like that. And then she said the cutest thing... well I mean she said it in the sutest way, with this adorable but sad frown on her face: "I'm very sad, but I'm glad you liked it." crying.gif

Then she sang a song that she wrote at the top 9 of Canadian Idol. She goes, "and you know what, it's untitled!" all excitedly. she said kinda abandoned it after she wrote it, cuz she didn't like it that much for some unknown reason... it was really really really really awesome! Gosh, they were all really really really really awesome... ahh..

She says something about Chloe (her friend in Edmonton) who she says is sadly going through rough times. sad.gif So she sang her song for her, she was trying not to cry, it was really sad. crying.gif But yet again, it was amazing. I forget what it was called, sorry. Shy.gif

Hah, then she's like, "now I'm gonna sing a song you've all heard before, and I made it really popular... wait let me rephrase that, NORAH JONES made it popular... oops." Yeah, it's Come Away With Me. And it's one her album which comes out on APRIL 26TH, by the way. It was fantabulous. I don't think I'll try to put into words how good it was, cuz... that's not really possible.

She then sings her upcoming single... [album APRIL 26TH] Turned my Back. She said she wrote it at Red Deer, which was a different experience than she'd thought it would be because she was living with a single mother and her 9 year old son. She said they had not an easy life at all but they just kept going and really inspired her, and taught her some of the most valuable lessons she ever learned. Awww crying.gif Hey guess what... it was amazing amazing amazing.

Next she sings a song she's been singing for about 4 years ["on and off I mean... not straight"] ... Black Orpheus. Yeah, I loved it tons and tons and tons... T-bone's just so wonderful, it's crazy. Her little grooves are just the cutest.

Then she says how she met her piano, bass, and drum player last week. Wow, that made it even more amazing. She wants the next song to showcase them in the next song... The Masquerade [which is on her album April 26th] They each get their little minute or so to play [with T dancing the whole time] and then Theresa goes, "This is my band you guys, and they are FABULOUS!" They really are. I loved the song too, I can't wait to hear it on the album.

Then... *tear* ... she sings her last song. Good *tear* Mother. The music starts, she goes "This is Good Mother..." she takes a big sip of water, looking all relaxed like, then she says she's singing it for her parents. While she sings, she's like walking all over the stage, like moving microphone stands and stuff out of her way, it was too cute. Anyways, I don't need to say that it was amazing, because you already know that. But it was amazing... like more than amazing. She comments how she's love to stay and sing all night but she has a plane to catch at 6 in the morning. sad.gif

Someone screams, "Happy Birthday Theresa!" and she goes, "awww yay, thank you for remembering me! I'm gonna be 24 on Friday... I'm getting up there! But I'm so crazy, I feel like I'm 16 and will probably always feel that way." *laughs* Then she leaves the stage. crying.gif

BUT... everyone screams and screams and screams and she comes back out! She says, Okay you guys, this is the absolute last tune on my reperatoire. And then she gives us "some very valuable advice. NEVER move in with someone you don't know because it can be an absolute disaster." Then she sings Change The World. Awwwwe, I love how she just gets so IN to it! And everything really... then she says, and I swear these are her exact words: 'You learn the most from the people who crap on your life. AWW T! And she also said, she never told the girl.

Then she says how she loved the tour, it's been awesome and she's gonna be back to Ontario really soon, ESPECIALLY OTTAWA! "Because it's a really awesome town." Her closing words are, "drive safely and love the one you came with." heart.gif

And there wasn't a meet and greet, so I never got to meet her. crying.gif Aw well, she'll be back
