Dear Jenny,
In the hope that you might touch down on this site from time to time, this is for you.
First, I thank you for the honesty of your performances over these magical first weeks on Canadian Idol. Even your audition was astounding! I would wager that moving seasoned music pros to such a depth of emotion that they wept, is something never done before on any Idol show throughout the world. This alone set you apart right from the start.
Those of us on this site want to express to you, to each other and even to ourselves, the depth of joy we felt seeing and hearing you perform and how deeply it has enriched us. In a perfect world you would have won this competition.
Remember however, this show was not called "The Idol", but "The CANADIAN Idol". What many people overlooked, I believe, is how very CANADIAN you were!
Canada is a land richly coloured, textured and layered...like your voice! This land holds the most beautiful slice of all the Rockies whose high snow toped peaks lance the clouds. It is land pure and clear and true... like your voice! Fall in this country brings cascades of gold and scarlet foliage, robust and generous with beauty... like your voice. The land you come from is known to be solid, unpretentious and honest... like your voice. All across this land of Canada people persevere, overcome and grow strong from the fact that the struggle isn't easy. Your voice holds this passion.
To me you are what is best about this county. Canadian Idol wasn't up to your talents. I hope however, this little show will open doors for you in the music field. I'm selfish, Jenny. I want more of your music. I want more of your songs............
A Canadian Fan
