So You Think You Can Dance 2 (SPOILERS!!!!)

Tatiana just called me from the taping so here are the spoilers!
The solos were back and so was the really random messed up order. Except this time the judges didnt comment on the solos.
Judges: Nigel, Mary and Mia
First were Natalie and Ivan doing the Jive choreographed by Ron Montez. The judges didnt like it. They said there was no chemistry and they weren't together at all. And something about boy scouts? Im not sure exactly what she said.
Then Travis did his solo. They said it was just the same thing Travis has been doing the last 3 weeks but it was good. He was wearing a shirt that had his voting number on it in sparkles.
Benji and Donyelle did Broadway next. Tyce choreographed it. The Broadway was more jazzy and Donyelle was wearing a pink and white flapper dress. Benji was dressed in all white. The judges liked it but they felt that Benji outdanced Donyelle and she didnt finish off all of her movements.
Natalie did her solo next. She pulled her cool little knee move again.
Tatiana said that Travis and Heidi were the best couple of the night. They did the Smooth Waltz and both looked gorgeous.
Ivan did his solo next. It was more Hip-Hop this time, they said it was very good.
Benji and Donyelle again with a Hip-Hop by Shane Sparks. The judges liked it. They said it was very good. Something about Donyelle having a big booty?
Heidi's solo was the same Latin type thing she's been doing.
Ivan and Natalie had Contemporary by Tyce. The judges said they had no chemistry and Ivan's weaknesses were very apparent. Mia said that Natalie's expressions weren't real enough.
Benji's solo. Same old Benji. It was good. He wore a scrolling belt buckle (like the marquee sign his dad had last week) that said "CTB" on it.
And last Travis and Heidi got a pop routine by Wade. Tatiana said it was more of an African pop and their costumes were kind of weird. But the judges LOVED it. Mia mentioned the comment she made about Heidi not being grounded enough and said that tonight she was the Earth.
Donyelle did one of her more Jazzy solos this time and it was very good.

She said the Contemporary was the most forgettable thing of the night, for her. The judges didn't like it either. They made comments like "you had to rise to the occasion, and you didn't" (I'm paraphrasing). She said they were cute in their rehearsal footage. Natalie kissed Ivan's cheek and he had a big lipstick mark.
Benji & Donyelle. She said their Broadway by Tyce was the typical crap. I think she said "you've seen one, you've seen them all" which she also said about most of the solos. She said she thought Benji was better than Donyelle. The judges said the same and Donyelle ended up taking it to heart and killing her next performance and her solo, according to crackinup.
She said the Hip-Hop by Shane was awesome. She said Donyelle was totally attacking it. She also said Donyelle was better than Benji, so it was the opposite of the first performance. She said there was some funniness to it too, and Shane is creative and great. The judges had positive comments.
Travis' & Heidi's Pop by Wade Robson was more African Jazz. She said that was her favorite choreography. She said Travis was amazing. "Off the hook", I believe she said, heh. The judges gave them good comments, and mostly gave comments like "you guys did great" and said Heidi rose to the occassion.
Side note, she said they had to re-shoot their performance because of technical difficulties. crackinup said she thought their first performance was actually better because it seemed perfect from where she was sitting (although she couldn't really see everything). The 2nd time she noticed some mistakes from Heidi.
She thought their Smooth Waltz was gorgeous. The setting was really nice, and Heidi had a nice dress. She said it reminded her of Blake & Ashle's Waltz last year. The judges had positive comments.
Solos:
Natalie - She said she wasn't as impressed with her as she usually is.
Benji's was pretty much the same as last week. She said he had a great ending (or ending pose?), which she won't ruin.
Travis - She thinks he did his audition piece, but she's not totally sure.
Donyelle's was the best solo, for her. She was in a green dress and did a Contemporary piece. She said it was kind of a mix of prettiness & fierceness.
Ivan's was the second best solo for her. She said he attacked it and was really good. I think she said it was his best solo.
Heidi did what she normally does.
Nigel, Mary, and Mia were on the judges panel. She said Mia speaks for a long time and kind of gets into a zone thinking about what she's gonna say. She says the show must edit her a lot, heh.
Travis had a shirt on that had his # on it in sparkles. She thought that was really funny. Also at the end, Benji lifted up his shirt and had a belt on that was like the sign his dad held up last week. One of those with the words going across. It had the initials "CTB" which stood for "Choose the Benji". She also mentioned that Ivan was extremely personable, and she can see why he's so well-liked by the contestants. He was playing with the audience and everything. She also mentioned that seeing him in person, he seems a lot better than he does on TV (dance-wise).
My friend pretty much likes all of them, although Benji is her favorite (I know she really likes Travis & I think, Donyelle too). Ivan has never been her favorite, but she was impressed with him tonight. I just wanted to make that clear so you know it's not coming from an Ivan fangirl or something. She also mentioned that things, of course, may seem different on TV.
She said after tonight she wouldn't know who to vote for. She said she'd probably vote for Benji & Travis. She thought Ivan was really good tonight, but over the course of the season they were obviously better. She said Natalie didn't give her a reason to vote for her tonight, although she wasn't bad or anything. Donyelle was more uneven, but when she was good, she was better than Natalie. Donny and Benji: (Rogue didn't notice the pre-perfromance piece)...They came out on the stage holding hands. The song was "I'll be" from Dawsons Creek. It was not as good as first VFW. It wasn't flowy and smooth. Not a lot of lifts. Donyelle was wearing midnight blue gown (she looks good)...Benji is in tux with his tie undone. They did 2 lifts, but not a lot (especially compared to Travis and Heidi). At the end, they did a dip and stayed that way for a while (about 8 or or 9 seconds)...Xrogue SUSPECTS they kissed during the dip because the crowd went wild and they just stayed in the dip for a really long time. Xrogue was at an angle where she couldn't see their heads to confirm (darn it!!!!). But, when Benjelle walked over to Cat/judges, Cat said "I saw that" to Benjelle. The judges PANNED the performance, they hated it! Most criticism went to Benji...that he didn't partner her well at all etc... Benjelle had their arms around each other. Benji kissed her on the side of the head after the judging.
Heidi solo ...same old same.
Travis and Benji: Hip Hop (Shane Sparks)...Best performance of the night!!! Came out as nerds with tape on glasses and backpacks and shorts with knee hights socks. As it progressed they peeled off glasses and nerdy clothes. They lowered their shorts and they started going at it! Judges loved it!!! They lifted up their shirts and showed their stomachs.
After their judging, Cat said our next solo is "Donyelle" and Benji said it with her....Did the hand "rock on" motion.
Donyelle came out for her solo and she looked at them and smiled (Benji didn't see her as she was behind him). Donny wore her brown and orange audition outfit...and she danced her audition peace....it was totally awesome!! She altered the choreography a little bit...but, it was GREAT!!
During a break, Deon (BarreDancer from IDF) yelled "Hey Brian!!..Donyelle is so awesome!" Brian said "I know, but I can't vote!!"
Travis solo...awesome!!...did backflip...awesome!
Donny and Heidi..."Sweet Charity" chorecgraphed by Tyce. Very sexy...pinstripped suits with white and black eyeleshes. Very hot! Judges said they didn't like it..."just ok"..."mediocre".
Benji's solo... usual...energetic. As part of the routine, he fell backwards and friends caught him and put him on stage. Cute!
Donny and Travis...it was awesome!!! They were farmer outfits. Donny had pigtails...Travis was in hat. Donny started on the floor and travis started on floor with her with his head on her stomach. Routine is to Ray Charles "Georgia". A Mia piece. It was breezy and flowed perfectly. There was more working chemistry than Benjelle in Waltz. Nigel said "This performance is light and smooth and it just really, really took me back to when everything is good an everything is working out"....Nigel loved it. Mary cried!!!! Brian said they looked like a "moving painting".
Benji and Heidi Salsa...it was very energetic...like club mambo...it really stamped "Benji and Heidi for the win"...plus, being at the end of the show, it really ended on a high note (for Benji and Heidi).
After that, they all performed together in the group piece. It was Wade Robson and it was to Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake...so much fun!! ...they had so much fun doing it!!! The choreography was awesome and Travis killed it!...and Donyelle killed it!!! Benji and Heidi were lacking in the grittyness of it. They all were being supermodels during the routine. The routine was "On point!!!"
At end, they all pretended they were going to kill each other...suffocating each other...got in front of judges and there was the flashing of cameras (part of the piece)...Cute!
The preperfromance video for the group number: The 4 came in to meet Wade. Benji came in with Donny on his back. Travis was carrying Heidi on his back. The guys then set the girls down.
At the end of the video, all are on floor. Donny was sitting between Benji's legs!!! She was resting her hand on his thigh. Heidi was in front of Travis. At the end, they all hugged and rolled on floor together hugging etc. Cute!
At the end of the routine, all 4 went to judges...all arms around each other. Benji let go of Heidi and was just hugging Donyelle...Donny's thumbe was stroking his side (for a second). At the end of the show, they all dance. They all held hands and did ring around the rosie. Benji and Donyelle dancing together - just the 2 of them. Donny was doing a free style hip hop and Benji danced with her...and then he holds out his hand for Heidi. At the end, Benji kissed Donny on the cheek.
The end of sexy back, they all convene in middle of the stage and talk to the production manager. Benji reached for her hand and kissed her on cheek.
Couple of things to point out:
Donyelle is SKINNY!!!...absolutely TINY!
Jason and Ivan were there in the audience.
The audience was filled with Schwimmer friends and family.
Donny had less fans than Travis, Heidi and Benji.
Jason looked depressed and he threw away his Donny poster. It was in the TRASH!!! Rogue though he was bummed because it seemed Donny didn't get any great performance types of dances to stand out. Heidi and Benji and Travis stood out...they had high energy performances and it just seemed not good for Donny. So, that's why Jason was mad.
Nigel said at one point that it was "down to the 2 guys".
Mary said "Travis, Benji or Heidi will win...sorry you didn't bring it, Donyelle". Brian said "I totally disagree...everyone of them deserves to win and if I was going to give the job to anyone, it would be Travis".
The Schwimmers pass out "Benji posters" to everyone....everyone...they gave one to Xrogue and to Ivan...everyone! Ivan had a Benji poster and he was asked to hold it up by the production person. Ivan refused to hold it up...instead he wanted to hold up the one with the ALL the dancer's names. The production person said "no"....so, Ivan said "I cannot do that..I don't want to hold up 1 name" Finally, he held up the Benji poster because he had no choice. (Cali note: This angers me!!)
