Steffi est présentement en tournée aux States avec la troupe du show Spring Awakening. Elle a l'air très heureuse sur les photos et videos.

Steffi n'a que de bonne critiques de ses performances

Quote:
Angela Reed and Henry Stram as all the adults, Steffi D as the wistful Ilse and Andy Mientus as a frighteningly intense Hanschen are also outstanding.
Variety
Quote:
While the most audience-rousing numbers remain fist-pumping rebel yells like "The Bitch of Living" and especially "Totally Fucked," the most melodically and vocally stirring moments here are beautifully sung quiet ones: Wendla and Melchior's duets "I Believe" (pre-coital) and "The Guilty Ones" (post), as well as Steffi D's lament as Ilsa, "Blue Wind."
San Francisco Examiner
Quote:
The cast performs expertly -- Steffi D as Ilse, a young woman cast out of her home to fend for herself, makes a huge impression on “Blue Wind” – but there are places where more performance experience will reveal further depths.

Since tour productions are typically scaled-down, cheaper versions of the Broadway show, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cast. Standouts included Steffi D (Ilse) of Canadian Idol fame and Kyle Riabko (Melchior) from The N's Instant Star.

Steffi D has a warm, rich voice as the troubled runaway Ilse.

I mean, Kyle Riabko is handsome and stalwart as the boy and Christy Altomare of the innocent bedroom eyes is the epitome of sweet, but you knew kids like them in school. Same for Blake Bashoff, the dreamy loser, or Sarah Hunt and Steffi D, rich of voice and poignancy as less blessed classmates.

Though a brief but key second-act scene that reveals Wendla's fate feels understaged, the cast's women are otherwise strong and involving: Steffi D (another Canadian singing star) is particularly magnetic as the troubled Ilse.
Gay & Lesbian Times
Quote:
With the exception of Riabko and Bashoff, this is an all-new cast, and it’s a fine one. Riabko is gorgeous and talented, Bashoff fun and heartbreaking, with that electrified hair. Your heart will go out to Altomare’s Wendla, and Steffi D is alluring (especially to Moritz) as the free-spirited Ilse.
